The Village of Cinderberry, a new active adult community for those age 50 and above, is located in historic Georgetown, a town of 5000 residents and Sussex county seat. Nestled in the pine forests near downtown, this is a small development with just 170 residences, all of which are appealing one-story and two-story town homes. Building started in 2002, and homes in the final phase are now selling. All dwellings have white or gray exteriors with dark roofs, giving Cinderberry a tidy, tailored appearance.
There are three model homes from which to choose, the Patriot, the Piedmont and the Prestige, and each one is a duplex or a fourplex. The small number of models, though, does not seriously limit the number of floor plans that the builders offer, as each model can be customized in a variety of ways. For example, each model may have either two bedrooms or three bedrooms plus an extra room (a sunroom in some models) and either a one or two car garage.

These include using advanced framing techniques to reduce lumber, incorporating upgraded flooring, lighting, appliances, and plumbing fixtures that exceed “builder grade” and using low VOC paints that do not emit significant pollutants and are virtually odor free.
